Benefits for End-Users and Business Managers

As an end-user, complying with your firm’s information security and compliance policies can sometimes interfere with your ability to effectively conduct business operations.  Fortunately, SecureZone was designed with your needs in mind.  Sensitive documents are protected in a manner that allows you to follow your existing workflows.  SecureZone leverages familiar concepts that users are used to such as accessing documents in file folders or attaching documents to email.  End-users can create, modify and delete sensitive documents of any type and secure them by simply creating or saving them in the SecureZone content repository.  Once secured, documents are fully protected and with Misdirected Email Prevention the fear of sending the wrong content to the wrong party is a thing of the past.

Seamless Desktop and Email Integration

Similar to the “My Documents” icon familiar to all Windows users, SecureZone creates a second “My SecureZone Documents” icon where end-user’s can see and manage all of the confidential documents for which they have access.  The user interface makes use of the common right-click menu options to provide common functionality to create, open and delete documents.  SecureZone also provides a seamless plug-in to Microsoft Outlook and other email clients to prevent the Misdirected Email of sensitive documents.  Consistent with the Windows experience is the ability to drag-and-drop documents from “My SecureZone Documents” into an email message.  Designed specifically to be transparent to the end-user, SecureZone provides a comprehensive level of security without any additional burden to an end-user’s daily routine.

1-Click Secure Folder Creation

Putting control in the hands of the end-user, SecureZone has simplified the way secure folders with the Centralized Content Repository are created.  Within the “My SecureZone Documents” explorer, end-user’s use the familiar right-click menu to create instances of user-defined, secure folder types where they can create and store new secure documents.  Each folder type has associated policies that define how documents in that folder are protected, handled or shared and can be set to internal-only or shared on the collaborative portal.  With SecureZone, end-users can create new folders that adhere to company policy as they need them without slowing down their workflow by issuing requests to IT or Information Security administrators.

Support for Any Document Type

SecureZone offers protection for documents of any type including Microsoft Office and Adobe PDFs. However, unlike many other information protection technologies, SecureZone is non-invasive and provides comprehensive protection without the need for end-user tagging, passwords or complicated key management.  Documents are instead protected by a virtual container so even proprietary applications built by your organization’s internal development team can be protected.
